A registered trademark may be renewed every 10 years from the application date, renewal fees being payable within the last 6 months before the expiry. There is also a grace period of 6 months during which late renewal application may be filed at no additional cost.

 Renewal of a trademark will not be published, unless a change has been made to it. However, if a trademark registration is lapsed as a result of failure to renew, it will be subject to all registration procedures.

 In order to renew a trademark registration, the following documents are required: 

  1-  Certified and legalized power of attorney up to the Iranian consulate.

  2-  A copy of the Iranian certificate of  registration/renewal.
