The owner of
a patent has the right to assign their patent and transfer,
partially or fully, their rights and interests therein, to
anyone. A patent can also be assigned through inheritance.
However, the assignment or any other changes must be duly
recorded in a public register at the IIPO in order to be
effective with respect to third parties.
In order to
register the assignment of a patent, the following documents
are required:
1-
A
notarized and legalized (by the Iranian consulate)
power of attorney signed by the assignee.
2-
A
notarized and legalized (by the
Iranian consulate) assignment form.
3-
Iranian patent (for endorsement).
