All trademark assignments must be registered in order to be effective with regard to third parties.  Announcement of a registered assignment will be published in the Official Gazette; so that everyone who has a claim with respect to it, may litigate in the Public Court of Tehran.

Requirements for registration of trademark assignments, are as the followings:

  1 -  Iranian certificate of trademark registration/renewal (If assignment has been registered abroad, a certified copy of the assignment registration certificate will suffice).

  2 -  Certified and legalized assignment form.

  3 -  Certified and legalized power of attorney up to the Iranian consulate.
