All changes as to the trademark itself, name or address of the owner, goods or classes to which it refers, must be formally registered in order to gain legal protection and recognition. All changes will be published in the Official Gazette, after being recorded (except for changes relating to address or the main place of business).

Required documents for registration of the changes are as the followings:

1-     Power of attorney Certified and legalized by the Iranian consulate.

2-     Iranian certificate of trademark registration/renewal for endorsement.

3-     Certified copy of the relevant changes (if they are registered abroad).

4-     For changes made to the mark itself, 10 samples of the new mark are required.
